Dessert or Desert - What to eat? Tip 14
Are you getting ready to go riding or camping at
one of the "big" destinations like Glamis or Dumont
(substitute your favorite riding spot), especially on any holiday, you
are
pretty likely to run into the "food vendors" on
"Vendor Row". They usually have a wide range of
food, from hotdogs, corn-dogs, gyros, and anything
else fried, to ice cream and all things BBQ'd. But
don't get the impression that you are going to be
able to get groceries, you are probably NOT likely
to find a gallon of milk, or a loaf of bread.
Plan your meals ahead of time. You can only eat
vendor food so often when out riding, and a good (or
lousy) corn-dog is going to cost you up to $4.00
each, if not more. Don't forget cash. Although most
vendors do take ATM or credit cards. You can usually
find the all annoying "I-SCREAM" truck with that
annoying song, it's a small world... hmm... hmm...
mmm... "BOINK!", yeah you know what I mean if you've
been to Glamis! If you forgot to bring a cup of
sugar (not Beer!), you could probably ask a
neighbor. I've always had good luck with other
campers, we're all there to have a good time, so if
I can help I will - (Wash 4 at Glamis).
